New concrete driveways and patios in San Jacinto

Know what to expect before you talk

How Our Network Works

Who You Talk To

You talk to an independent provider in our network. Each one is its own local business. Metalfee Concrete makes the introduction, and then the conversation is between you and the provider.

What Happens on the First Call

Expect a few simple questions. The provider may ask what you want to build, the rough size and where your home is. They may ask about your current slab and what you have noticed. Photos can help.

Most providers then offer a site visit to measure and look at drainage. Availability varies, so request a callback to check provider availability.

What to Ask a Provider

Do ask these before you agree to anything:

  • Are you licensed and insured where required?
  • What base and thickness do you plan for my soil?
  • How will water drain away from the slab and my house?
  • What reinforcement will you use?
  • Will the quote be in writing, with what it includes?
  • How long before I can walk or park on it?

Red Flags to Avoid

Do not accept pressure to decide on the spot. Do not pay a large amount upfront. Be careful with a very low price, because skipped prep is often the reason. Quote in writing, every time.

You Are in Control

You can compare more than one quote. You can ask for changes. You can say no. There is no obligation to hire anyone you speak with.
